Article Snippet: Samples were diluted in DI water 10 times and 10 μL of the SPIO solution was deposited onto the surface of a TEM grid (Ted Pella, Inc., Form var/Carbon 400 mesh, Copper, approx. grid hole size: 42 μm) and left to dry for 1 h. The size distribution of the magnetic cores was estimated from TEM images considering at least 100 nanoparticles.
